Isabel Rawsthorne

Isabel Rawsthorne who was a close friend of Francis Bacon and Pablo Picasso is an unforgotten name only few people can recognize. She had been in the paintings of Francis Bacon twenty-two times and was assumed in conducting anti-Nazi black propaganda during War World 2.

 “Head and Reflected Glass” is a peaceful and serene painting which she had done in 1967. The head looks towards to glass, which the flower can only be seen in reflection of the glass. It depicted the emptiness which why the beautiful thing can only been discovered in unreality.
